THE MINIATURE PINSCHER
The
Miniature Pinscher is truly the " KING OF TOYS"
and looks like a replica of the Doberman Pinscher, but a smaller
size. They are very loving and loyal, lively and animated,
mimical, and very active and playful.
They make good watchdogs, and are very protective. They have
the personality of a larger dog and do not fear dogs twice
their size.
The
Miniature Pinscher was bred originally from Germany using
the German Pinscher, the Italian Greyhound and Dachshund breeds.
They were used in the farm kitchens and barns in Germany,
to catch rodents and prey.
The Miniature Pinscher is very active as a pup and adult.
They need very little exercise though, Thats what makes them
ideal for the small apartment and house dweller.
They
come in a variety of colors to choose from too. There is the
Solid Red, Stag Red, Black and Rust, Black and Tan, and Chocolate
and Rust, and Chocolate and Tan.

Although
the Miniature Pinscher is similar to the Doberman on a smaller
scale, it is definitely not a bred-down Doberman.
He
has a nature, and a manner suggestive of a much larger dog.
The Min Pin is especially valuable as a watch dog, often keener
than a dog twice its size.
He
is a born show dog too, noted for his lively temperament, intelligence
and pep.
The
close, slick coat of the Min Pin requires scant attention, little
grooming. He is always neat and clean, ready for action. His
activity level is very high, but his daily exercise needs are
minimal.
Although
the Miniature Pinscher may look fragile, he is in fact a very
sturdy dog and rugged for his size. The Min Pin's fondness for
home and master is exceptional.
